FAQ

Many people ask us so many questions, so I decided to post them. (Current as of 4/12/2006)

Q: I play online videogames and I was wondering if any artists play the games also?
A: That's a unique question. Brandon Tha Raven can be found in the game "Guild Wars". His name in the game is: Firecracker Johnson.

Q: What is Raven Interviews?
A: Raven Interviews is a weekly radio show on new artist radio hosted by Brandon Tha Raven.

Q: Is Gabriela single?
A: Only she can answer that

Q: Where can I hear songs from Eye Of The Storm Records?
A: Go to that person link and click their picture. If they have music, the picture will link you there.

Q: Who is ITB?
A: In The Back came on with Eye Of The Storm Records in April 2006. Click their link to listen to music from ITB.

Q: I thought Eye Of The Storm Records was not accepting any more rappers?
A: Eye Of The Storm Records listen to all demos. We make our choices based on content, originality and passion for this business. We're not looking for the next big thing or something you hear everyday on the radio. We want people who have heart for this business and want to be different.

Q: Is Isis Cane still with the label? I don't see her name on the links.
A: Isis Cane is still with us, but she is now fulltime on the business end of the label. So she will make cameos now and then, but as far as albums and stuff like that, don't count on it no time soon, but who knows?

Q: What is she doing for the label?
A: Click and read the link About the company and staff.

Q: I've heard so much about The Raven and his religious beliefs, what is he?
A: Brandon Tha Raven is Agnostic. Before you ask, just do a search on it :)

Q: Are you trying to be the next psychopathic records?
A: No. We got nothing but love for psychopathic records, we would love to do something with them in the future.

Q: Is it true Eye Of The Storm Records will no longer take rappers?
A: We still accept rappers, but not rappers who sound like the radio stuff. We're not here to make a quick buck off you then write you off. We keep a family vibe going on here. Just like our music and some of our artists, we like to be different and unique.

Q: How can I use or license music from Eye Of The Storm Records?
A: You will have to go through BMI for that. Some people use common license, but that do not work for us. So people have to go through BMI or contact Mr. Davis.

Q: Who is Cabin Fever Films?
A: In late 2005, Eye Of The Storm Records and Cabin Fever Films merged together. Now Eye Of The Storm Records is the music division for the film company.

Q: Will you still be able to put out albums?
A: Yes, we're still a record label, but now we take on double duty.
Q: Will the Eye Of The Storm Records artists and staff be in movies?
A: So far Brandon will be doing something with "Hatch" Tarr next year (2006), but that's still under wraps. Yes, artists and staff will be involved with movie projects also.

Q: Will the movies be released in theaters or straight to DVD?
A: Well, again much can't be said at this time, but just know that when the time is right, you will know..trust us.

Q: You mentioned "Hatch" Tarr, who is he?
A: He's the CEO of Cabin Fever Films. You can find out more about him by reading the profile under "about the companies"

Q: You said music division earlier, what will you be doing?
A: We'll be in charge of the soundtrack, movie scores and music for TV and film projects.

Q: If I got a band, can I send music for the movie?
A: Well, if your music fits the theme of a movie, it might make it.

Q: Who's in charge of Eye Of The Storm Records?
A: Brandon Davis is the CEO of the record label.

Q: Brandon Tha Raven always claim that he been in the music
business since 1991. I've never heard of him. Is he lying?
A: Brandon has went by many names in the past and was under a different record label. Some of the names he went by were: Infer-red, Mack, and the one he loves to forget about D.Y.N.A.M.I.C D which ment Dynamic Young Nig*a Always Mackin In Chicago and the D came from his last name. That was in 1991 and that name lasted for about 3 weeks.

Q: Well How did he come up with the name Tha Raven?
A: Brandon always loved poetry and one of his favorites were by
Edgar Allen Poe "The Raven". He kept that name since 1997.

Q: Are the women under Eye Of The Storm Records single?
A: They can only answer that

Q: The Wackos look scary, are they really serial killers?
A: Brandon cannot babysit artists, so therefore whatever they talk about or do is up to them. Eye Of The Storm Records however DO NOT censor artists.

Q: That's nice, more record labels should be like that
A: Eye Of The Storm Records is in a group of its own.

Q: Brandon seems to help a lot!
A: It's true. Brandon love helping out other artists anyway he can. He always mention that he would "rather be remembered and broke than to be rich & forgotten." I think in the end, Brandon will always be remembered.

Q: I noticed in the Blog announcements that you are no longer taking rap artists until further notice. Why is that?
A: Eye Of The Storm Records in past months have been through a lot of crap when it comes down rap. We worked with many other companies and people and things just didn't go right. So Brandon chose not to accept any rappers until further notice. He'll take Hip Hop artists, but not Rap. The only real "gutter" rappers under the label are Isis Cane & The Wackos. M.I.C is more Hip Hop.

Q: What were the names of the companies?
A:  We wish not to say. Because if we mention them, people will know about them and we just don't help out people who are shaddy.

Q: What was the name of the record label Brandon used to be with?
A: Products Of The Streets Entertainment

Q: Did he do stuff with them?
A: Yes. he produced music on 2 albums, remixed a single and one of the songs was a video

Q: VIDEO? where can we see it?
A: The video came out in 1997 and was on Public Access. We only wish BET uncut was out then.

Q: Who is Keena? we see her profile and pic but we really don't know about her?
A: Click her name and when her profile comes up, there's another link that will tell you about her.

Q: I noticed on Isis Cane picture that it said president?
A: That is correct, Isis Cane is the president of the company. She showed dedication, loyalty and earned that position.

Q: you have an artist as your president? That seems strange?
A: Not really, Isis Cane is really smart and knows about this business. Don't let the rapping fool you.

Q: How is it that your label deal with so many styles of music, yet you're an indie label?
A: That's because Brandon is open minded with music and don't stick with one style. He looks at the bigger picture.

Q: How come your website is not flash like all the other label websites?
A: That's because we want to keep it simple. Everyone don't have optimized computers, so therefore we make it easier for people to access the site.

Q: We use to see so many artists on your page, What happened?
A: It's called dead weight. We have to release artists so we can move forward. If artists don't keep in touch with us or at least let us know if they need to leave for a while, we'll assume you're AWOL and poof, you're gone! We do keep the door open and if there's a good reason why we could not get in touch with you or you could not get in touch with us, we won't release you.

Q: Wow I like the way Eye Of The Storm Records operate and I would like to work for them.
A: We're happy that you're interested in working with us, however all positions are filled. We do however have intern spots that open up time to time. If there's ever an opening we will post it on the site.

Q: Well I'm an artist and would like to submit material to your label?
A: There's instructions on the main home page how to submit material to us.

Q: Do you pay artists for signing?
A: We do not at this time pay artists for signing. We have to get you a fan base first and exposure is more important than money. When you get known, the money will come.

Q: Brandon bio say he plays Drum n bass? what is that?
A: Drum n Bass is dance music that has a BPM of 160 to 190. It's big overseas.

Q: Damn
A: And Brandon wanted to mention also that he uses no samples when he plays any dance style music.
